I've taken some time off from blogging and it's good to be back. My house is pretty clean now and the air outside is fresh and blue skies have finally replaced the orange-brown ones. The fires have been out in our area for about a week and it seems quieter now.
My reading has not been terrific lately but I've got to buckle down because several review books pictured below came in this week from Front Street. I also received The Given Day from Librarything Early Reviewers. My husband finished A Judgement in Stone by Ruth Rendell and kept talking about how disturbing the main characters are so I couldn't pass that up! I am about halfway through that one.
I am still working on my review for Glimpses of the Moon so hopefully I will post that sometime next week. There is alot on my plate right now!
I will be around for a couple weeks and then I have to take another week or so off. We have the Garlic Festival at the end of July and also my daughter will be coming down from Oregon to spend a couple of weeks with us.
I miss visiting everyone's blogs and I hope to be able to get back to a regular routine again soon. Until then I hope you are all having a wonderful summer!

Rendell is a writer I keep meaning to return to. I bought a job lot of her books some time ago but still have nine of them to tackle. A job for the summer perhaps.
It must be nice to have the house ash free now. I still remember when the fires in my area were so bad that I had the same battle. It seemed like nothing would ever be clean again.
I have Lehane's book here to read too. It does look good. I'm still trying to get caught up with my review books. My reading hit another snag because of personal issues that had to be dealt with recently, but I am hopeful that I will be back on track soon.

Melody - It's good to be back. You all mean so much to me and I really missed you all. I hope you are staying comfortable with all this heat. I haven't been doing much reading but I plan to get back in the swing this week.
