Trying to Get Up and Running

First off, thanks to those who showed concern at my long absence. You are such nice people and I appreciate it.
It has been an eventful summer and not in ways that I had anticipated. My daughter came for a visit a few weeks ago and just after she got here I injured my leg in a terribly painful way and had to stay off it. The day before I had taken her to Barnes & Noble and bought her a stack of Nora Roberts books and ended up reading most of them, one after another while recovering.

Here is the list:

The Key Trilogy: Okay, not bad
Key of Light
Key of Knowledge
Key of Valor

The Three Sisters Trilogy: Really good!
Dance Upon the Air
Heaven and Earth
Face the Fire

Sign of Seven Trilogy: (Only two published so far)
Blood Brothers
The Hollow - almost done

And a cozy mystery:
High Marks for Murder by Rebecca Kent

What can I say, I needed easy and fun reads. I just got Pig Island by Mo Hayder so that one is next.
My leg is better now and I can do most everything again but I feel a little depressed, probably due to all the sitting/limping around and pain pills. I really need to get back to normal.
I am planning to visit everyone in the next couple days and hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!

I'm glad that you've read a lot of good books lately. I enjoyed reading Pig Island, that's one creepy read IMO. Can't wait to read your review! Well, you take care! :)

It's great to see you back, Jaimie! I am sorry to hear about your leg. :-( I hope you are all recovered now--or if not, close to it.

So glad you're back. How is the leg now? You probably have been having trouble with my blog because of the difficulties caused by Apple's update to MobileMe. They said it would make no difference. Ha Ha! You need to use the new address which is slightly different to the old one

Take care. Don't get back on that leg to soon.

Hi Jaimie,

So sorry to hear that you've been
having such a rough time. Hope
you're leg's healed up well, and
you're beginning to get back to
regular life.

Thank goodness for the prolific
and usually dependable Nora
Roberts to help pass the time in
a bearable manner, eh?

I've read the Three Sisters
trilogy too and enjoyed it very
much. I think that I have the
key trilogy, but have yet to
read it.

Again, welcome back Jaimie.

Cheers!

Hi Crazee - Thanks for the welcome back! The key trilogy was pretty good too and I liked the characters. It was hard to follow up the Three Sisiters though!

Sorry to hear about your accident--that sounds awful! It's nice to be able to sit and read, but definitely not under those circumstances!! I hope you are back up and mobile soon! :) Someone else I know was just reading Nora Roberts, too. Were they mystery/thrillers?

Jaimie said...

Hi Danielle! - they are paranormal romances, very light and positive stories. They really worked as recovery books!
